Our fresh goose eggs

Our geese are faithful companions who look after the farm's grassy paths. There are no fences here, so they walk in columns as they please and eat what they like. In the evening, they return to spend the night in the safety of our pond. They choose when to return and when to go back to the fields.

In season, we let them make their own nests and choose their locations. We come every day to take the fresh eggs (but not all of them!) and mark those left behind so that they can incubate them. We had 3 births in 2023.
